Jack’s Fire Pit, New American BBQ, is hitting Imperial Beach soon. The restaurant which operates inside of Double Deuce Bar in the Gaslamp, has been rumored to open a stand alone restaurant since June. We now have an update for their opening timeline.
Jack’s will set up shop in the space which formerly occupied IB Public House on Palm Avenue across from Swagyu Chop Shop. What Now San Diego spoke with Owner David Schiffman who says they haven’t rushed the opening process for this project.
Since restaurants are still having trouble filling staff roles in their establishments, they have taken their time to work on the new location. Now, permitting is underway with the city and Jack’s Fire Pit is expected to open by the end of 2021.
Their menu is dubbed New American BBQ with hints of Mexican flavors. Featured items include Stuffed Peppers, loaded Nacho platters, tacos, and piled-high Pulled Pork Sandwiches. You can sample their fare from inside the Double Deuce country bar.
