According to a recent permit filing, Cult Classics has filed for a Central Eastside area location at 1308 SE Morrison Street.

A representative of Cult Classics was not immediately available to comment upon What Now Portland’s request.

While an official opening date and what Cult Classics plans to offer have yet to be confirmed, according to the permit, behind Cult Classics is Jacob Markrof.

Cult Classics planned days of operations will be every day from 4 PM to 2:30 AM, with no seasonal variation. The same will apply to the outdoor operating hours with food and alcohol service options, according to the permit.

When researching the address listed on Cult Classics’ permit, according to an article from Bridgetown Bites this year, the address was once home to There Be Monsters. “Through a folk music mailing list I subscribe to, I learned that the neighborhood pub There Be Monsters in the Buckman neighborhood is closing. Saturday, May 4 is their final day of service.”
