A New York-based cafe chain is bringing a burst of French flair to the Mosaic District. Maman will be making its Virginia debut in Fairfax next year, reports local media outlet FFXNow.
Future regulars can look forward to enjoying a wide range of coffee drinks and pastries once the cafe opens at 2920 District Avenue, Suite 150. Maman is taking over the space that previously housed Oath Pizza, which closed last year.
A precise opening timeline is not currently available, however a spokesperson has confirmed Maman is intending to debut the brand’s inaugural Virginia location in 2025.
Though the Merrifield cafe will be the concept’s first in Old Dominion, Maman is no stranger to the DMV area. The chain currently has five DC storefronts and one in Bethesda, Maryland.
Founded in SoHo, New York in 2014, Maman has earned considerable praise from such illustrious sources as Oprah herself. The brand has expanded to include 37 cafes across the United States and Canada.
Virginia residents can look forward to enjoying delicious breakfast favorites, ranging from quiche to overnight oats. Guests can choose from freshly made breakfast sandwiches, and later from soups and salads.
