A popular DMV-area restaurant is bringing Reston a taste of the East. Yunnan by the Potomac will be serving up a fresh helping of its delicious interpretations of Chinese fare to the area in 2026, reports local media outlet The Burn.
The venerated favorite will be opening its third location at 2000 Opportunity Way in the Reston Town Center Next development, which is still under construction. Yunnan by the Potomac will have a dedicated 4,300 square feet to dish out its authentic cuisine to satisfied customers.
While it is too early to offer a precise date, the Yunnan team is aiming for a first quarter of 2026 opening.
The celebrated concept currently has one location up and in operation in Alexandria, with another near opening in Pentagon City.
Yunnan by the Potomac sets itself apart from other local Chinese restaurants by focusing its menu on dishes from southwest China. The restaurant’s website describes its fare, stating: “As Mixian is the bedrock of Yunnan cuisine, at Yunnan By Potomac Noodle House mixian bowls are at the core of our menu and are complimented by a variety of regionally and seasonally inspired xiaochi small plates, bao buns, jiaozi dumplings, shaokao barbecue, tiandian sweets, and large format Family Feasts.”
