Potbelly Corporation (NASDAQ: PBPB), the neighborhood sandwich shop, announced a new location opening on the ground floor of Metro’s L’Enfant Plaza headquarters, home to one of the busiest transit networks in the nation. The new shop, located at 665 D St SW, holds a prime retail spot at the central hub that services tens of thousands of commuters, tourists and city-goers daily.
Across from one of the main L’Enfant Plaza Metro entrances and a short five-minute walk from the National Mall, this new Potbelly location joins a vibrant collection of restaurants and retail spaces that cater to a dynamic crowd of locals and visitors. As one of the country’s largest transit systems, WMATA connects the D.C. area with Maryland and Virginia, making the newest Potbelly outpost a well-positioned stop for the diverse daily commuters seeking a convenient mealtime options.
The shop opened on Tuesday, December 17, with a special promotion for the first 100 guests. Each of the first 100 people received a complimentary free entrée coupon for their next visit. Plus, new and current Potbelly Perks members were able to redeem a free Original sandwich with the purchase of any Original or Big sandwich on December 17.

This joins 15-plus locations in the DMV, making it one of the brand’s most populated markets. Regular hours for Potbelly at L’Enfant Plaza are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m Saturday & Sunday. Breakfast is served daily from Monday through Friday.
Delivery, order ahead and catering are available through Potbelly.com or the Potbelly App. Plus, the shop has aligned with third-party delivery services.
