Cabin John Village is about to get a taste of some of the DMV’s best carbs. Bethesda Bagels, named one of the 9 best bagel places in the DC region by The Washington Post, is opening its newest outpost in the neighborhood according to the business’s website.

The celebrated bakery will be opening its sixth location at 7951 Tuckerman Lane, Suite A. A precise opening timeline is not currently available, however the official site assures Potomac residents that the storefront is “coming soon”.

According to Bethesda Magazine the Cabin John Village storefront will be the chain’s largest to date at 2,800 square feet. Bethesda Bagel’s newest location will offer both indoor and outdoor seating.

Concept co-owner Danny Fleishman explains that the new storefront will allow Bethesda Bagels to conveniently and effectively feed a large portion of its fanbase. He states “We have an extremely strong customer base in the Montgomery County area … and we just want to make it as convenient and easy for our customers to get to Bethesda Bagels whenever they want.”

Bethesda Bagels first planted its flag in the DMV region in 1982 and has been a family-run institution ever since. The Fleishmans remain incredibly hands-on at each of their shops; they currently have 3 in Maryland, 1 in DC, and 1 in Virginia.
