The burgeoning West Falls neighborhood will be welcoming one of the DMV’s most exciting Asian concepts to its dining community. Dok Khao Thai Eatery is bringing its authentic cuisine to the region, reports local media outlet ARLNow.

Dok Khao, helmed ably by the Pattana Restaurant Group, will be opening at 180 West Falls Station Boulevard. Pattana co-founder Pat Pattanamekar tells What Now DC that the hospitality group is completing the final plan to submit for permits, and is aiming for a late December opening.

Dok Khao Thai Eatery is still a relatively young concept, with a small but growing DMV footprint. The restaurant has 2 locations open and in operation-one in Columbia, Maryland and another in Woodbridge, Virginia. However, Pattana has big plans for its Thai restaurant; 2 additional locations are currently being developed in Chevy Chase, Maryland and Oakville, Virginia.

Pattanamekar offers this tantalizing sneak peak to West Fall diners eager to enjoy the Dok Khao experience: “We want to be the second kitchen of the neighborhood. The decorations will still be English greenery garden but we will have a more elegant vibe. For the menu, we will serve a wider variety of food, especially my mom’s recipes.”

Described as “our little slice of Bangkok right here in your neighborhood, where every dish brings a touch of Thai street food magic to your table”, the Dok Khao menu features a wide array of delectable dishes, ranging from sesame ginger beef to fried branzino.
