One of the culinary world’s brightest rising stars is preparing to take the DMV by storm. Wonder, the food hall concept that’s caused consistent and nearly unstoppable buzz since it entered the scene two years ago, is opening a new location in the West End, reports Eater Washington DC.
Wonder will be taking over the space at 1200 New Hampshire Avenue NW currently occupied by Eat Brgz. Though that particular establishment is still alive and kicking for the moment, owner Brandon Alexander confirms it will be closing shop relatively soon.
Wonder will be inheriting a plum location once it moves into the West End space. In addition to being ideally suited for delivery, the building will provide a dining room with accommodations for up to 67 customers, as well as a patio.
Wonder, which has been expanding at a truly herculean rate, is a unique concept that allows customers to order from a multitude of restaurants in one transaction. The concept is redefining dining, thanks in part to high-profile partners like Bobby Flay, José Andrés, and Marcus Samuelsson.
