36 Streets, a Vietnamese food truck in Sacramento, is working on its first brick-and-mortar cafe at 3262 J St, slated to open this winter. The space is currently occupied by Saap Saap Hmong Thai Cuisine, whose last day of business is Oct. 31st.

Founded by Anh Do, 36 Streets began operations last December and has quickly gained popularity. The food truck serves authentic Vietnamese appetizers and entrees, including classic items like eggrolls and vermicelli noodle dishes, as well as more novelty items like duck noodle soup, crispy pork sticks, Vietnamese pork sausages, and rice porridge with pork intestines.

Do told What Now Sacramento over the phone that the restaurant will only have food offerings at the beginning, but she plans to apply for a liquor license to allow alcoholic beverages down the road. The restaurant space is mostly turnkey, and work will begin once the current tenant closes. As of now, 36 Streets is slated to open on Dec. 1st.
