One door is closing for a popular Arlington sweet shop, but dessert enthusiasts, don’t despair, another is swiftly opening. Acme Pie Co., which has been delighting local diners for the last 12 years, is moving its treats to a new location, reports local media outlet ARLNow.

Fans won’t have to worry about travelling too far from their established route to get a delicious slice of pie; the bakery will be moving from its current digs at 2803 Columbia Pike to the former home of Columbia Pike Deli at 2406 Columbia Pike.

Acme Pie Co. owner Sol Schott tells What Now DC that he will be shutting down operations at the current storefront around March 18 and is hoping to be able to have the new location up and running by April 1. He explains that while redevelopment may have precipitated the move, he is looking forward to a fresh start with new possibilities, saying “I’m looking forward to new space… I’m going to try to do more savory pies.”

Fans of both sweet treats and circumferences can rejoice-Acme Pie Co. will still be open at its current location on Pi Day (March 14), and will be selling slices for $3.14, in honor of everyone’s favorite mathematical constant.

Future regulars and old standbys alike can look forward to enjoying fresh, handmade pies, baked daily with local ingredients. While the menu may vary depending on the season, customers can safely assume their favorite pies will show up in the shop. Acme’s featured selections include classics such as Key Lime and Coconut Custard. The bakery ensures it has something for everyone, offering vegan options for those with dietary restrictions.
