The Mission Hills Neighborhood Council will review plans for an expansion of Ararat Home of Los Angeles‘ assisted living campus in northern Mission Hills, according to its meeting agenda.
A nonprofit assisted living and nursing care facility provider targeting the Armenian community, Ararat Home submitted plans for the project in late 2020. It has existing assisted living and nursing facilities just east of its planned expansion site, which is a 12-acre area with vacant land and two single-family residences at 15151 – 15155 Mission Hills Road and 15149 Mission Hills Road.
The new facility would total 370,500 square feet and offer 101 senior independent living units, 159 memory care units, 78 assisted living units, and 96 skilled nursing facility units, plans show. Independent living residences would be in a northern upper campus, while the remainder of units would be found in a lower campus along Mission Hills Road.
Ararat Home is joined in the project by Culver City-based project architect Zakian Woo Architects and project representative Eric Lieberman of consulting company QES. Also involved is Lisa Gimmy Landscape Architecture, plans show.
Ararat Home acquired the project for about $11.1 million in 2018, according to Los Angeles County property records.
