A couple of months ago, What Now Charleston reported that two new Scooter’s Coffee locations would be opening soon in Ladson and Summerville. Now, two more drive-thru cafés are coming to South Carolina.
According to The Sun News, land is currently being cleared along U.S. 501 in Conway for the Bellevue, Nebraska-based coffee franchise. The Conway café will be situated next to the Jiffy Lube on Church St.
The second coffee shop will find its home along Hwy 707 in Myrtle Beach, near Holmestown Rd. Both locations are owned by franchisee Fred Browder McGill, a Pawleys Island resident.
Founded in 1998, Scooter’s Coffee has grown to more than 800 locations nationwide, with several sites in South Carolina. Known for its wide variety of classic and creative coffee beverages, the franchise also offers teas, smoothies, and grab-and-go breakfast items.
While McGill confirmed this news in a recent Facebook post, he could not be reached for comment by What Now Charleston. Opening dates for the new locations have not yet been announced.
