A popular wings franchise appears to be working on a new location in Mount Pleasant.
Buffalo Wild Wings is coming soon to 715 Johnnie Dodds Boulevard, according to construction documents. The space used to be occupied by Outback Steakhouse.
The franchise group behind the proposed restaurant is Grube Inc., an Ohio-based operator of dozens of Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants across several states, including a new location in Myrtle Beach. Grube Inc. was named the 2021 Franchisee of the Year at the Buffalo Wild Wings Conference in Las Vegas. The group is also a franchisee of Marco’s Pizza.
Buffalo Wild Wings was founded in 1982 in Columbus, Ohio. It has since grown to more than 1,300 locations across the U.S., including 15 in South Carolina. The menu features classic sports-bar fare, like chicken wings and tenders, burgers, wraps, appetizers and more.
Grube Inc. Director of Growth and Development Mathias Grube confirmed plans for the new location to What Now Charleston.
According to the construction documents, the new Mount Pleasant restaurant would be nearly 6,700 square feet and include seating for 228 people.
