California Fish Grill is opening its 17th Los Angeles County location in Whittier, located at 11836 Whittier Boulevard, Ste. A.

The new restaurant will move into the newly built The Groves in Whittier in July 2022, Director of Marketing Joanna Kan tells What Now Los Angeles. California Fish Grill will join the several other tenants coming to the area in 2022, including Chipotle, Jersey Mike’s, One Zo Boba, Nektar Juice Bar, and Nguyen’s Kitchen. The newly built development already features Stater Bros. Markets, Raising Cane’s, and In-N-Out.

The Gardena-based fast-casual chain started in 1998 and now has over 38 locations in California and one in Arizona and Nevada. The company takes pride in serving high-quality farm-raised seafood at an affordable price. Their products are rated Best Choice or Good Alternative by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch program or Eco-Certified by a third party. Some of their wild-caught fish include ahi tuna, calamari, mahi-mahi, rockfish, sockeye salmon, tilapia, and much more.

This will be the first California Fish Grill in Whittier. The following closest location is in Downey or Puente Hills. The restaurant comes with a massive 75-acre redevelopment, including 561 homes for sale and 189 apartments for rent. The Groves at Whittier also plan on opening a Heritage Court in the Summer of 2022. This new area will include Rodeo 72 food hall with a brewery, multiple small restaurants, a lounge, tattoo shop, arcade, and eclectic spaces to gather.
