The Southern California-based juice chain Nékter Juice Bar is opening a second location in Whittier, located at 11836 Whittier Blvd Suite E.

Residents of Whittier will no longer have to commute to Friendly Hills to get their hands on one of Nékter Juice Bar’s fresh cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and acai bowls. This will become the 20th location in Los Angeles County and is expected to open in the late Summer of 2022, according to franchisee Daniel Hernandez. With the new group of restaurants and businesses, including a new EoS Fitness, coming to the area, The Groves in Whittier is shaping up to become one of the healthier neighborhoods in Los Angeles.

There are many benefits to drinking Nékter Juice Bar’s products, filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, natural antioxidants, vitamins, and nutrients. These juices and bowls improve digestion, boost immunity, increase energy, and give more radiant hair, skin, and nails. Some of their popular juices include The Greenie with kale, spinach, parsley, celery, cucumber, lemon, and red apple, and Recovery, with beet, ginger, kale, orange, and celery.

Nékter was founded in 2010 by Alexis and Steve Schulze. In just seven years, Nékter has become one of the restaurant industry’s most successful emerging brands today. The national chain has over 160 locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Utah, Colorado, Washington State, and North Carolina. Nékter plans to expand nationally to 425 restaurants by 2022, with plans to open in Atlanta, Central California, Chicago, Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico, South Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Tucson, and more.

The new cafe comes in part with the 75-acre redevelopment of The Groves. Nékter Juice Bar will join several other upcoming tenants coming to the area, such as ChipotleCalifornia Fish Grill, and Nguyen’s Kitchen. On top of the new restaurants and retailers, The Groves already accommodates hundreds of people with their 561 homes for sale and 189 apartments for rent. Later next summer, The Groves will open a Heritage Court, including Rodeo 72 food hall with a brewery, multiple small restaurants, a lounge, tattoo shop, and arcade.
