Las Vegas-based Nashville hot chicken restaurant Houston’s Hot Chicken is expanding to Cerritos, located at 11439 South St.

The 2,758 square-foot restaurant will replace Baja Fresh at Cerritos Promenade in about five months, according to owner Houston Crosta and partner Edmond Baresghian. The new micro chain currently has a handful of locations in Las Vegas, with more on the way. In addition to the first Los Angeles location, Houston’s Hot Chicken is also expanding to San Diego’s Gaslamp District around the same time. Houston’s two California locations will become their eighth and ninth location.

This is incredibly impressive for the duo, considering they launched this company mid-last year. The best friends and fellow YouTubers opened their flagship location in Green Valley Parkway, adjacent to Crosta’s other business, Las Vegas-based exotic rental car company Royal Exotic Cars. Crosta and Baresghian aimed to open six locations by the end of last year. Their website currently lists three.

Houston’s Hot Chicken has a simple menu consisting of a handful of entrees comprised of chicken sandwiches, tenders, loaded fries, and a salad. Most items can be tailored to the desired heat level, ranging from no spice to ‘Houston, we have a problem!’ For a bit of extra, the restaurant offers a few sides, such as fries and coleslaw, plus a few desserts, including cookies and milkshakes.
