Italian fine dining restaurant Il Localino shuttered its doors this week.
“Due to extraordinary circumstances, we are heartbroken to report that Il Localino is now closed,” the restaurant posted to Instagram on Friday.
Il Localino began offering dinner for two to-go starting April 14, 2020, which included an appetizer, salad, and choice of entree. For a restaurant built on the fine dining experience, with a full menu and wine selection, it appears the extraordinary circumstances brought on by the pandemic made it too difficult to remain open. Since posting the news on Instagram on Friday morning, crying emojis have become the most popular response by heartbroken Atlantans.

This was one of my favorite in town hidden jewel restaurants where I could take family and clients as well a nice date and it not be pretentious. I most certainly wish the owners and workers many bright tomorrow’s. You will be missed……
