Victory Brands is moving forward with plans to open a new concept inside the Indie Studios development.

The hospitality company — Victory Sandwich and Little Trouble — this week submitted a building permit application with the City of Atlanta for the restaurant under the name “Lil Vic’s Restaurant.”

When What Now Atlanta first learned of the plans in early 2021, the name of the incoming business, at 190 Ottley Dr. NE, had not yet been revealed.

It’s unclear if the new concept will open as Lil Vic’s, or if the name is just a placeholder in the filing, and Ian Jones, a Victory Brands co-owner, did not immediately respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment this week.

The permit filing calls for $250,000 worth of work at the 1,170 square-foot restaurant which will be flanked by an outdoor patio.

The newly-opened Indie Studios is 35,000 square feet of former warehouse space converted into a creative and culturally-based shared studio environment. According to their official website, “The Indie provides generous accommodations of indoor and outdoor space to dream, meet, execute the day’s imperatives, host festive gatherings — when the time is right, or engage in moments of quiet repose.” The development is home to nine studio spaces and 12 suites.
