BORUBORU, an Asian eatery specializing in “sushi burritos,” at 1568 Avenue Place Ste 160, has been listed for sale. Ownership is asking $229,000 for the open-and-operating business, according to The Shumacher Group, the restaurant brokerage that holds the listing.

The counter-service eatery offers build-your-own poke and sushi bowls and burritos, including vegan options out of the Emory Point development.

BORUBORU’s 1,800 square-foot space has seating for 49 and its monthly rent is $6,000 which includes CAM (common area maintenance), taxes, insurance, and trash.

In 2021 the restaurant netted $744,300 in gross sales, according to the listing, with approximately $117,000 in net profit which included a $55,000 salary for the owner.

It’s unclear why the owners, who established the restaurant in 2016 are looking to sell, but a new owner can keep the name, brand, recipes, and trademarks, or convert to “almost any concept except anything similar to General Muir,” the nearby New York-style deli, coffee bar, bakery, and Jewish-style full-service restaurant, according to the listing.
