Coconut’s Fish Café is coming soon to the Scottsdale 101 shopping center on the corner of Mayo Boulevard and Scottsdale Road off Loop 101. The “Island Style” fish taco and sandwich spot is taking the Valley by storm. This Mayo Boulevard location will replace the current outpost in North Scottsdale and is scheduled to open in mid-April

Owner Kim Kuhljuergen opened the first Arizona location for Coconut’s Fish Café in 2013 in North Scottsdale. Kuhljuergen decided to bring Coconut’s Fish Café to the mainland after tasting their delicious fish tacos at their original location in Maui, Hawaii. He could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.

Coconut’s Fish Café is highly regarded by Yelp, TripAdvisor, and the like for serving the best fish tacos found in the Phoenix Metro area. Eating there takes locals on a flavor trip to Hawaii with their freshly grilled Mahi Mahi, Ono, and Ahi dishes. The restaurant was founded by CEO Michael Phillips, who opened the first location in Kihei, Hawaii in 2009.

“The success Kim has achieved since he launched his original location is impressive. We are looking forward to see what he can do with two locations as he continues to spread aloha throughout Scottsdale and surrounding communities,” Phillips told QSR Magazine in 2015. Correction: We previously noted that this will be Coconut’s Fish Cafe’s third location, but is is actually a relocation of their outpost on N. Scottsdale Road. The opening date for Mayo Boulevard has also been updated.
