A new two-part concept is being planned for a space in the Lower Highland neighborhood of Denver. Noisette is currently under construction at 3254 Navajo St. in Denver to renovate the space, which will feature a bakery on one side and a French restaurant on the other.

“We’ll be serving classic food. It’s called cuisine bourgeois, and it’s just like a style of mothers and grandmothers cooking but on an elevated level,” Noisette owner and pastry chef Lillian Lu told What Now Denver.

Lu and her husband worked in fine dining in New York for years before moving to Denver. They had been searching for restaurant space for a couple of years before finding the LoHi location. “We’re just ready to start our own venture,” Lu shared.

“There’s not a lot of French restaurants there in that neighborhood, so we really do want to be a neighborhood restaurant. We’d like to offer pastries and breads during the day, and then at night a place where people can come and enjoy a really good meal,” Lu said. The bakery side will feature baguettes, classic French pastries, unique charcuteries, and tarts.

“We are putting a lot of emphasis on ingredients and a very classic French cooking that you don’t see too much in Denver.”

They are still working on the restaurant menu, which will rotate seasonally. During the summer, Noisette will offer southern French cooking, and in the winter, more Parisian-style dishes will be available.

Lu hopes renovations will be completed in the next few months, so Noisette can open its doors to the public sometime this summer. “We are trying to offer a different perspective on French food here.”
