The Sandwich Spot is heading back to Encinitas after a nearly four year break. A go-to for beach eats, the shop will replace the now-closed Coastal Eatery on North Coast Highway just steps from the beach and Leucadia.
Established in 2015, Sandwich Spot closed their Encinitas branch in 2018. Owner Jason Frisella reworked the spot into a ghost kitchen concept in 2020, offering takeout and delivery only out of Carlsbad.
Sandwich Spot is part of a larger California-based chain of eateries, with locations in Northern California and the Bay Area.
On the menu, stacked sandwiches made to order on freshly baked Dutch Crunch bread. Try their Cardiff Club with Ham, Turkey, Roast Beef, and Cheddar, or The Godfather with Salami, Pepper Jack cheese, and signature Bomb Sauce.
The Sandwich Spot is in its permitting phase but no word just yet on when doors are expected to open. Catch up with The Sandwich Spot Encinitas via Facebook and order online at their Website.
