It’s no secret that Pizza Guys has been eyeing San Diego as part of their expansion plan in Southern California. Now it looks like the pizza chain has secured their first location in Pacific Beach. According to a recent permit filing, Pizza Guys will move into a former Pizza Hut space neighboring Jersey Mike’s on Garnet Avenue.
Pizza Guys dates back to 1986 and is headquartered in Rancho Cordova, CA. The brand began franchising in 1997, now operating over 70 locations and counting, primarily in California and growing in Nevada, and Oregon. According to Franchise Wire, Pizza Guys plans to open up to 15 new locations to our region. For now, San Diego’s closest Pizza Guys is located in Temecula.
As “Home of the Specialty Pizzas,” their menu boasts pies like the Serrano Chili Pizza, Curry Chicken Delight, and Impossible Beef BBQ. Pizza Guys also serves fresh salads, wings, Cheezee Bread, and Cheezee Rolls with garlic or bacon.
