A new bakery is in plans in the Kearny Mesa area from a local baker you may have seen on Instagram.
The bakeshop is in the works by Chrisell Nguyen, aka DIY Selly. DIY Selly is known for luxuriously decorated custom and monogram cakes for every occasion. This will be the first brick-and-mortar bakery for the brand.
Beyond custom-designed cakes, Selly’s menu includes nut-free baked goods, colorful macarons, and Ube flavored cupcakes topped with leche flan.
Additional details about the bakery are sparse in its early planning phase and the location is pending. According to Instagram, DIY Selly has closed the books on new orders ahead of the bakery opening this Fall 2022.
