Construction is underway on the latest quick-service Mexican restaurant Downtown. The Waves Taco Club will debut on Fifth Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter this year.
Owner Omar Tal told What Now San Diego The Waves Taco Club is a family-owned business, serving up a straightforward menu of tacos, burritos, and shareable apps. Tal shares they support local, working directly with San Diego fisherman for their various seafood tacos.
Tal shares they’re working to finish construction taking great care working in the 1800’s-era building The Waves calls its home. The location formerly housed the China Too Restaurant.
An opening date is dependent on construction but Tal anticipates a late Summer 2022 opening. The Waves Taco Club does not have a social media presence just yet but What Now will update as opening details are shared.
