Local pop-up eatery Mati’s Kitchen announced they’re working on their first brick-and-mortar restaurant. A recent permit filing places them at The Promenade at Pacific Beach shopping center. Mati’s Kitchen will move in next door to Amplified Ale Works, in the space formerly known as Ocean’s Pizzeria.
Established in 2020 as a mobile kitchen, Mati’s has been serving clientele at beer-focused spaces like Bottlecraft Little Italy and Stone’s Kettner tasting room.
You can get your Birria fix served in a number of ways at Mati’s Kitchen: Birria rolled tacos, quesatacos, quesadillas, and loaded atop nachos. Other specialties include Birria Crunchwraps, Ramen, and toasty Grilled Cheese sandwiches.
