The Mediterranean fast-food sensation Shawarma Guys are already planning their second brick-and-mortar location in the Mira Mesa neighborhood at the Village at Mira Mesa shopping center, located off 9690 Reagan Road. The new location will be near notable fast-casual restaurants such as Firehouse Subs, Panda Express, and Manna BBQ.
Owner Bryan Zeto tells What Now San Diego that while the lease for the upcoming Mira Mesa location has been signed for three months, unforeseen delays in the contracting process won’t allow for an opening until Summer 2023.
Zeto and Shawarma Guys also await the finalization of another new location in the La Mesa area by the end of 2022.
Founded as a food truck in 2019, Shawarma Guys has enjoyed significant success and media attention from outlets such as Food & Wine and CBS News. Shawarma Guys features a classic menu of Arabic/Mediterranean dishes such as shawarma, falafel, and fattoush salad and offer catering services for large-scale events. While eager foodies eagerly await for the expansions of Shawarma Guys to open, they can find the original food truck at 3012 Grape Street in the South Park neighborhood.
