Orange County’s River Jetty Restaurant Group is opening a new restaurant called A Sunset on the Sunset Strip, located at 8768 Sunset Blvd.
The group’s newest restaurant will move into the former home of Serafina and Fresh on Sunset in early 2023, according to Eater LA. Co-owners Jordan Otterbein and Joseph Nichol are also opening A Crystal Cove in the Crystal Cove Shopping Center by the end of the month and A PCH opening in Long Beach by the end of the year. All of the group’s restaurants focus on high-end versions of classic dishes combined with beautiful designs and unmatched service.
The upcoming A Sunset will be the closest restaurant to Downtown Los Angeles, entering one of the city’s most bustling restaurant scenes. By the time A Sunset opens, which is expected in the first month or two of 2023, this area of the Sunset Strip will be home to several new businesses. The new restaurant will be joined by the incoming Lavo Ristorante and a new Supreme store that is replacing the Tower Records building. Other eateries near the upcoming restaurant include Eveleigh, Tocaya Modern Mexican, Le Petit Four, and The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker.
“I’ve had my office at that little curve of sunset for 22 years,” Nichol, better known as the Charlie’s Angels director and producer better known as McG, tells Eater LA. “so I’ve been staring at that property for more than two decades. We want to show sensitivity to the history of the Sunset Strip, but also be aware of where it’s going,”
