New construction will house a new coffee concept in Manvel. Hando Coffee Bar owner Jonathan DeVaughn told What Now Houston construction on the new strip center should be finished in the next couple of weeks, and then he’ll begin the buildout on the 2,500-square-foot space.

“We do have a drive-thru, too, for convenient access for people who don’t want to get out of the car.” DeVaughn hopes to open to the public in March 2023.

Hando Coffee Bar will offer hot and cold beverages, pastries, and small lunch items. “We’ll have coffee, tea, smoothies. We’ll have a lot of pastries like croissants, ham and cheese croissants, cookies, and muffins, different Danishes, things like that, as well.”

DeVaughn opened a different coffee cafe brand in a Pearland church back in 2019. “So, I’m just wanting to expand out, create something different,” DeVaughn said.

“They are doing a lot of construction out there. They’re building a lot of houses, and a lot of development is going on out there. I thought it would be a great opportunity to be in that specific area.”

Hando Coffee Bar will be located at 10237 Bailey Rd. in Manvel. Stephan Robinson with Ardent Realty Group was a leasing agent for the property transaction.
