Angry Chickz promises a reopening soon in Oceanside. The fast casual restaurant was one of two businesses that suffered a devastating fire last September. A reopening was promised for earlier this summer but has been closed for remodeling since 2021. A recent permit filing signals one step closer to opening doors once again on Mission Avenue.
Specializing in Nashville style hot chicken, Angry Chickz was founded by David Mkhitaryan in Hollywood in 2018. The restaurant has since expanded across Los Angeles, the Bay Area, Central California, along with locations in Las Vegas and Arizona. Angry Chickz initially opened in Oceanside in 2020.
Angry Chickz serves sliders, hot chicken tenders on white bread, and side options like angry fries, mac and cheese, rice, and angry fries. With heat levels ranging from country (no heat) to x-hot (call 911), their most spicy option called angry requires guests to sign a waiver.
