The Melt looks to be working on their third San Diego area restaurant. A recent permit filing places the purveyors of fine grilled cheese sandwiches at Del Mar Highlands Town Center yet, joining the likes of Cross Street Chicken and others.
Based in San Francisco, you can find The Melt in 21 locations across California. The company partnered with micro food hall startup, Local Kitchens, to expand their footprint in the state. The Melt operates two San Diego locations, in Downtown and La Jolla.
Specializing in all things melted cheese, guests can indulge in Mac N Cheese, MeltBurgers, and Melted Classic grilled cheese sandwiches loaded with your choice of fillings and served alongside salads or tomato soup.
