Prickle Bakeshop To Debut California Inspired Bakery in Point Loma

Prickle Bakeshop announced via social media that they’ve recently taken over the Point Loma shop previously occupied by Cupcakes Squared. The bakery will share the space with Açaí Carioca, a Brazilian-style Açaí business.

Owner Blair Braz tells What Now San Diego the new bakeshop will have a modern California theme and will feature coffee, with grab-and-go options of their handcrafted cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and bars. 

Braz explains her business became known for making baked goods decorated with succulents and cactus, inspiring the Prickle Bakeshop name. Braz recently settled in San Diego from her home in Canada. 

Besides providing carefully decorated sweet treats, Prickle Bakeshop also plans to host cake decorating classes and special events both at their space and around San Diego. 

Braz explains they’ll be renovating the space in the coming weeks and their social media posts describe a new pink aesthetic they’ll bring to the interior.
