Aloha Ice Co. is planning its second sweets shop in Mission Valley. According to a recent permit filing, the Hawaiian-inspired ice cream and shaved ice brand will join Westfield Mission Valley Mall next.

The business got its start as a food truck and grew to a brick-and-mortar space in Carlsbad in early 2022. Their menu features colorful shaved ice in an assortment of flavors like Cotton Candy or POG, with signature Aloha Creations like Pina Colada with a blend of coconut, strawberry, banana, and pineapple flavors with a sweet cream drizzle.

Aloha Ice Co. brings more Hawaiian-inspired bites during the summer months including musubi and poke. The Carlsbad cafe also features breakfast pastries, serves 100% Hawaiian coffee, and will soon reveal a menu of simple but delicious burgers, according to Owner Noel Frohman.

The shave ice business will soon install a kiosk on the eastern side of Mission Valley Mall, nearby the Nordstrom Rack and eateries like Mendocino Farms and CAVA.

Frohman shares to What Now San Diego that Aloha Ice Co. should be up and running in Mission Valley by Summer 2023. Say “Aloha” by visiting their location in Carlsbad and follow on Instagram for updates.
