Frida’s Taqueria is putting the final touches on its second restaurant location in North County. The business has taken over a second-generation restaurant space at Oceanside Plaza in Oceanside.
Owners Gracy and Robert Ayala are regulars around North County, with one location of Frida’s Taqueria open in Escondido and service to local farmers markets.
Robert Ayala tells What Now San Diego they’ve connected with clientele in North County through their weekly farmers market visits like at Oceanside’s Sunset Market, which gathers thousands of visitors every Thursday. The Ayala’s also book catering events for any special occasion.
Frida’s Taqueria features a straight-forward menu of Tijuana-style tacos, mulitas, burritos, and quesatacos with classic fillings like pollo asado, birria, carnitas, and carne asada.
Frida’s Taqueria will soft open this month in Oceanside and expect to celebrate a grand opening in March. Look out for opening announcements and Taco Tuesday specials by following their Instagram.
