A new business from local restauranteur Mike Hanlin will open as early as this summer at 905 51st Ave N. in The Nations neighborhood of Nashville.

Field House Tavern is slated to open in the former El Paseo Cantina location, and if permitting and renovating go according to plan, the space is projected to open by June.

Since the process is still in early stages of development, the business has not set up a website, but does have a Facebook page for updates. Once opened, the restaurant will operate Mondays through Thursdays from the hours of 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and will open at 10 a.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

What Now Nashville spoke with Hanlin about his vision for the new business.

“I’m very excited about being the new neighborhood spot for locals. Field House Tavern was designed to be exactly that. Field House is a sports bar with a diner style kitchen and with our giant patios, the space is perfect for live music or a game of cornhole,” Hanlin said in an email.

The menu is expected to serve classic American items like sandwiches, burgers, fries, and a full bar.

“Field House will be open 7 days a week and the kitchen will always be open until 2am, with brunch on the weekends,” Hanlin added.

Field House Tavern will join neighboring restaurants such as Rock ‘n Dough Pizza & Brewery, 51 North Taproom, and Red Bicycle Coffee & Crepes.
