A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place this week on the redeveloped Shatto Building, which suffered a devastating fire in 2019 and has been rebuilt and designed by Warren Scott Architecture in the Leucadia community. The Encinitas Advocate reports original owner James Shatto and his business Shatto & Sons, a custom shirt shop, will continue to operate online but will not return to the building.
Previous tenant Peace Pies is due to rejoin along with Leucadia Barbershop, and The Leucadia Co. restaurant group will introduce a new concept called Nacho’s Oyster Bar, taking over two of the four spaces at the building.
According to its social media, Nacho’s Oyster and Fish Bar is a Coastal Mexican Tapas and Raw bar. Nacho’s is brought to us by the hospitality team behind other Encinitas-based eateries like Moto Deli, The Hamburger Hut, and Valentina.
An opening for Nacho’s Oyster Bar is projected for Early 2024. An Instagram for Nacho’s is made but currently set to private. Learn more about all of the concepts from The Leucadia Co. by visiting their website.
