Bread and Cheese Eatery will introduce three concepts under one roof in its first brick-and-mortar space in North County. The catering company and mobile kitchen announced they’ve recently closed escrow on a storefront in Oceanside, which looks to be the spot formerly occupied by Ben and Esther’s Vegan Jewish Deli.
The new location will cover all the bases from am to pm, bringing together Bread and Cheese Eatery with its sister brand Pineapple Crush, plus a brand new concept called And Breakfast Burritos.
You may recognize Bread and Cheese Eatery and Pineapple Crush from their mobile setups at various special events around San Diego, including at Vista’s Moonlight Amphitheatre, and previously in the East Village’s Ale Tales taproom and bottle shop.
Bread and Cheese specializes in elevating the classic sandwich with options like the Pizza-Grill-Zoni with pepperoni and provolone cheese, and the Reuben with Swiss cheese and pastrami. Pineapple Crush offers a quick cool down with blended smoothies served in a pineapple, like nature’s travel mug.
The gourmet grilled cheese restaurant recently shared on social media they’re looking for customers willing to be guinea pigs to test the menu for And Breakfast Burritos. Social media previews show loaded burritos filled with egg, cheese, and your preferred choice of breakfast meats like bacon or sausage, with some special additions like pastrami.
Bread and Cheese Eatery and friends anticipate an opening in late July 2023. For more information and updates, follow on Facebook.
