La Montaña Taqueria will be building out its second location at 11212 N Interstate 35 over the next few months, according to recent public records.

“The project involves the remodel and expansion of a previous building used as a bank for Wells Fargo. The new work will transform the building into a food service establishment for a local mexican restaurant,” records examined by What Now Austin state.

The project is expected to cost $250,000 and cover 2,209 square feet of space. Spanning three months of work, the restaurant is expected to reach completion in late December 2023.

“La Montaña Taqueria offers traditional Mexican food like Tacos, Gorditas, Chilaquiles, and Tostadas,” the brand declares on their Facebook page. While the menu for the second location has not been announced, readers can reasonably expect classics from the flagship locastion such as charro beans, grilled chicken, pastor tacos, and seafood soup.

Until the new location opens, eager readers can visit the original outpost at 707 E Braker Ln.
