Dirty Dough Cookies, the growing Utah-based cookie chain, will soon be opening an Austin location, according to recent public records. The restaurant will be located at 6301 W. Parmer Lane, near Whataburger and Starbucks.

When asked why he chose to work with this particular brand in a recent interview, Managing Partner Hunter Asmus offers two clear reasons. “Quality is one specific reason, but also their level of efficiency. Other cookie brands may make the dough and cookies in-house, whereas our brand makes its cookies in Utah and then ships them to franchises to be cooked there. So, again, quality and a low labor intensivity.”

Explaining the concept, Asmus says that (of course) the menu revolves around several flavors of cookie. “We have a rotating cookie menu and mystery cookies, depending on the specific location.”

And his reasoning for a store in the Austin area? “I have family in Texas and they were able to tell me about the expansion that’s happening over there. Even though we’re from Utah, we saw the opportunity in Texas and took it.”

The store will open in December 2023.
