Shipley Do-Nuts Opening New Austin Location

Construction will cost an estimated $225,000.

The national donut chain Shipley Do-Nuts will be opening a new outpost at 7717 SW Parkway Suite in Austin, according to recent public records.

Costing an estimated $225,000, the construction work will consist of “architectural and engineering work for an interior fit-out of a cold, dark shell for a donut and coffee establishment” which will span around 1,800 ft 2. Construction is expected to wrap up in October.

The location will be spearheaded by franchisee David Howell who also runs a Fajita Pete’s location in Dallas on top of being the CFO for Hat Creek Burger Company.

Founded by Lawrence Shipley in Houston, Shipley Do-Nuts has expanded throughout the United States, with notable concentrations in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi. Apart from donuts, the chain serves cinnamon rolls, creme-filled bars and donut holes, cake, coffee and kolaches.
