Chinese restaurant brand Din Thai Fung will be part of the dining options at Downtown Disney, according to DL News Today. The exact address of the establishment has not yet been determined, but it is on the west side of the outdoor retail plaza.
Construction is ongoing at the site of the future Din Thai Fung, with work being done on the Chinese-style hip-and-gable roof. An opening date is unknown, but other work that is being down in the Downtown Disney District is expected to be completed by 2024.
The family-style restaurant, which has over 170 locations worldwide (some of them Michelin Star-awarded), is best known for its handcrafted soup dumplings, wontons, and steamed buns. There are outposts in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Europe, and Thailand.
Started in 1972 in Taiwan, the business is a family-owned concept that entered the United States in 2000. There are now California locations in Santa Clara, Torrance, San Diego, LA, Glendale, Costa Mesa, and Arcadia.
