Ever since Vine Street Pub closed for business at the start of the pandemic, rumors have swirled that the joint would return. Now, it appears that day is nearing, as the website states the eatery at 1700 Vine St. is “reopening soon”.

A message on the company’s page states “We are working as hard as we can to get Vine Street Pub re-opened!  Colorado is currently experiencing a HUGE labor shortage. We are training and hiring as fast as we can. Thanks for your patience!”

The restaurant is owned by the Mountain Sun Pubs & Breweries group, which has other venues in Boulder. When it was operating, it ran a brewery producing 5,000 barrels of beer annually.

Multiple sources on Reddit claim that unpermitted work was done at the location, and that has contributed to the holdup, but this information has been unable to be confirmed. The business owner did not respond to What Now Media’s request for comment on when it will reopen.
