Vogs Coffee House, a popular Istanbul-based coffee chain, is making a significant leap across continents by opening its first U.S. location at 10610 Gaston Rd #190, Katy, Texas from Co-Owners Cem and Sevil Sahin.

Cem, in a recent interview, shared that their journey began in Istanbul in 2017, and since then, they have grown to five branches in the city. The decision to move to Houston and bring their coffee shop to the area comes from a desire to live in The Bayou City and expand their business. The Katy location, leased in September, is just the start, with two more Houston locations planned for 2024.

The Sahins aim to replicate their successful Istanbul model in the U.S. as closely as possible. Vogs Coffee House is known for its high-quality, self-roasted coffee beans and homemade bakery products, all crafted by professionally educated and skilled team members. Cem, a professional barista himself, emphasizes the importance of quality and customer satisfaction in their business approach.

The opening of the Katy location, which will feature a drive-thru, online order, and pick-up options, is not just a new venture but also a representation of Vogs’ commitment to growth and excellence. The coffeehouse will operate from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Following the launch of the first shop, Vogs plans to open a roasting and pastry facility in Texas in 2025 and begin franchising in the State of Texas by late 2025.

Vogs Coffee House stands out for its involvement in every aspect of coffee production, from bean to cup. They host trainees from neighboring countries at their production factory in Istanbul, which includes a CQI (Coffee Quality Institute) and offers coffee processing, roasting, and academic Q Grader courses. This comprehensive approach has garnered them a monthly customer base of 50,000 across their Istanbul branches.

The Sahins are not just business owners but coffee enthusiasts who understand their customer base intimately. By maintaining direct contact with customers and addressing their feedback promptly, Vogs has built a reputation for attentive service and quality products. As they prepare to open their doors in Houston, Vogs Coffee House is set to offer a unique coffee experience, with a menu featuring sustainably sourced coffee and tea, pastries, smoothies, croissants, bagels, sandwiches, salads, fruit bowls, and muesli, all made with local ingredients.

With their expansion into the U.S. market, Vogs Coffee House is poised to bring a taste of Istanbul’s vibrant coffee culture to Texas starting in Katy come March 2024, promising a unique and authentic coffeehouse experience that resonates with their established quality and customer-centric approach.
