Dutch Bros Coffee, a drive-through coffee chain headquartered in Grants Pass, Oregon, is getting ready to open a new location in El Cajon at 626 Jamacha Rd.
The company recently submitted documents to the Department of Environmental Health and Quality to open a new standalone site near a strip mall anchored by Lulu’s International Market. It’s unclear exactly when this new location is expected to open, but considering the company recently submitted the documents, it’s likely this site won’t open until next year. This is one of many new locations Dutch Bros Coffee is working on in San Diego.
This is a massive accomplishment for the company, considering it first entered the San Diego market in August 2022. Since then, the company has doubled down on expansion plans and has heavily emphasized adding more locations in San Diego County. The company recently opened its fifth San Diego location in Escondido at 507 West Washington Avenue. More locations will open in Vista, National City, and Chula Vista. Earlier this year, What Now San Diego reported on a new location coming to El Cajon at the corner of Marline Avenue and 2nd Street, which still hasn’t opened.
The new location follows the company’s annual holiday menu announcement, which includes the Hazelnut Truffle Mocha, Candy Cane Mocha, and Winter Shimmer Rebel, according to a press release. Each drink is served in one of six festive cup designs, including ones for kids and pups. Hazelnut Truffle Mocha, Candy Cane Mocha and Winter Shimmer Rebel are available while supplies last.
“This year’s trio captures the cozy and enchanting spirit of the season with our beloved Hazelnut Truffle and Candy Cane flavors,” Tana Davila, chief marketing officer at Dutch Bros Coffee, said in a press release. “Dutch Bros is all about getting creative and innovative, which is why we’re stoked to introduce the Winter Shimmer Rebel to our customers as a unique seasonal drink to try.”
