Rodizio Grill, considered one of America’s First Brazilian Steakhouse, is preparing to open a new location in North Scottsdale at 7000 E Mayo Boulevard, Building #24.

The company’s new site is set to move into the former home of Outback Steakhouse within the Scottsdale 101 shopping center in either late 2024 or early 2025, according to a representative from the company. This will be the second Rodizio Grill in the Phoenix area, following the company’s flagship site in Mesa at Village Square at Dana Park. Once the new North Scottsdale location opens, customers can expect an unlimited and succulent variety of rotisserie-grilled meats, glazed pineapple, a gourmet salad bar, and more.

Those who have never been to a Rodizio Grill or any Brazilian steakhouse should have some high expectations. One of the main features of this restaurant is the house-grilled protein options, which are presented on 3-foot-long skewers in a continuous rotation and are carved tableside by servers per guest preference. To top it off, Rodizio Grill also features a full bar with plenty of craft beer, Brazilian wine, and cocktail options.

Rodizio Grill was founded in 1996 by São Paulo native Ivan Utrera, who wanted to introduce the United States to the traditional churrasco style of dining, otherwise known as Brazilian barbecue. When Ultera finally opened his first location, it became known as the first churrascaria in the United States. Today, the company operates more than 20 locations in 13 states, with more on the way, including a new site opening this fall in San Diego’s East County city of El Cajon. Guests are encouraged to join the company’s email club, Club Rodizio, to receive email updates regarding its new locations.
