Kinship Coffee is heading to the Financial District, snagging a lease at 106 South St., according to the New York Business Journal.

Kinship Coffee has been operating in Queens since 2014, when Stan Rivera and his wife Ashley Wood-Rivera set up shop in the Astoria neighborhood. They now have three locations in that area, one of which is a roastery. The new location on South Street will be their first expansion into Manhattan.

“After 10 years of operating in Astoria, we felt like it was finally time to expand our brand to a special destination in Manhattan,” Wood-Rivera told the Business Journal. “South Street feels like just that.”

The new location is expected to open in spring 2025.

The brand sells handcrafted coffee and tea beverages as well as pastries. Their winter menu includes items like a gingersnap latte, winter tonic (an espresso tonic with cranberry orange syrup), a spicy Santa Fe hot chocolate and hot apple cider.
