Leroy’s Bagels, a beloved staple in the SloHi neighborhood, has announced its expansion plans to open another location. The business is excited to move into a space at 1553 Platte St. after years of anticipation, the Denver Post reports.

Founder Sarah Green, a Boulder native, has been diligently working towards this milestone. She’s been on a quest to find the perfect spot for a second location for over five years. The business planned to open in Uptown but those plans changed.

This new location, set to open its doors in the fall, will have ample seating and a space for take-out orders. There will also be an outside patio. Other plans are still being finalized, Green told What Now Denver.

The establishment will have the same charming ambiance and commitment to quality that Leroy’s has always upheld. It is a 1,400-square-foot shell that will have a menu with bagels, cream cheese, and sandwiches, as well as pastries and a full espresso bar.

“The fact that this is happening in a neighborhood that I’ve loved since moving back to Denver has really sweetened the wait and makes every step towards opening so exciting. I am beyond excited to be in the Platte neighborhood and look forward to opening soon!” Green said.
