A burgeoning mochi donut franchise will soon open its first Memphis area location.
Mochiatsu is coming to 5847 Getwell Rd in Southaven. The final touches are being applied to the space, and the franchisees hope to welcome customers in mid to late June.
Mochiatsu is known for its innovative mochi donuts, seamlessly blending the familiar American donut with the delightful texture and flavors of Japanese mochi. The eatery currently boasts four thriving locations across Pennsylvania, Alabama, and Florida, with plans for nine more on the horizon.
Alongside the signature mochi donuts, patrons can indulge in a variety of Asian-inspired offerings including boba tea and Korean corn dogs. The latter features sausage enveloped in mozzarella, coated in a crispy panko batter, and finally topped with an array of unique eats, including fries and even Hot Cheetos.
