Some exciting news is on its way to my fellow New York jitterbugs. If you love to eat as much as you love to dance, then you’re bound to love the new lounge making its way to 46th Street.
Stepping Out Studios is a popular dance studio in Manhattan known for hosting space for some of the most important dance events in the city. The home of the World Champion Dancers, Stepping Out Studios has been offering quality dance lessons to experts and amateurs alike for over 30 years. Owned by entrepreneur and dance master George Qiao, Stepping Out Studios has been a critical component of the NY dance scene for decades.
Now it appears that George will be debuting a brand new restaurant and lounge concept as part of the Stepping Out Family. The concept, tentatively dubbed “The Penthouse,” is described by George as a “lounge establishment with recorded music,” and is expected to occupy the top floor of Stepping Out Studios. Currently applying for a full liquor license, George will transform the penthouse of Stepping Out into a fully functional restaurant and lounge.
With enough room to comfortably seat 30 guests, The Penthouse will also feature space for a dance floor in the center of the room. In addition to the drinks, The Penthouse will serve light dishes like Grilled Chicken Caesar Salads, Roast Beef Sandwiches, and Deluxe Sushi Boxes. A combination entertainment space and restaurant, The Penthouse will also feature regular events hosted by prominent figures within the local community.
