Mokafé, a Yemini coffee house chain, has two new locations opening soon: one in Greenpoint and another near Times Square. The brand imports specialty coffee from Yemen and Guatemala.

What Now NY reached out to one of Mokafé’s co-founder Jorge Riquelme, but he did not immediately return the request for a comment.

Earlier this year, Mokafé opened a new location at 1059 Manhattan Avenue. Mokafé has other locations in Brooklyn and Queens, and another in Paterson, NJ.

A press release for the Queens opening last year notes that Mokafé serves sandwiches, croissants, muffins, cookies, and the Yemeni delicacy, Sabayah. Drinks involve all of your typical coffee orders as well as a Yemeni tea called Adeni Chai.

An Instagram post on Mokafé’s page indicates plans for five new locations, with two in New York and three in New Jersey.

The Greenpoint location is set to open sometime this fall. There is no word yet on when the Times Square location will open.
